To highlight the eighteen-day campaign for the Elimination of Violence against Women (EVAW), the Gender and Development Office conducted a research forum to disseminate information and research about the prevention and protection against gender-based violence (GBV ). The forum was participated by Faculty and Staff, Students, Top Management, Alumni and other Stakeholder (December 2, 2022). This year’s celebration centers on the theme “UNiTEd for a VAW-free Philippines.”
Peer Helpers Training was also conducted to capacitate the young people/peer helpers to identify risky behaviors of their peers which may lead to violence and crisis situations.
This research is promoting gender empowerment through educating participants about gender-based issues that affect wellness and mental health to empower them to make better choices.
