Republic Act 10398 or the Act has declared November 25 of every year as the National Consciousness Day for the Elimination of violence against women and girls (VAW). It mandated all government agencies to raise awareness on elimination of all forms of violence.
The goal of this activity is to enhance the awareness of the participants about peace-building and conflict resolution to end/minimize violence in the community and launching of the group (Men Opposed to Violence Everywhere( MOVE) and Psychological Support Group to Survivors of Violence (Grupo Talabangay)
According to Republic Act No. 11313 or the Safe Spaces Act, it is the duty of the State and its subsidiaries including State Universities, to recognize the role of its people in nation-building and also ensures the fundamental equality before the law of women and men. Hence, the government mobilizes individuals, communities and organizations to advocate for the end of gender-based violence.
